As a regular user of the A14 and a concerned reader of newspaper articles detailing the daily carnage along this road I wonder if anyone has bothered to investigate the issue of speeding commercial vehicles and the impact on road traffic accidents. In my experience HGV regularly travel at between 60-70 mph and I am routinely overtaken by LGVs moving at 70-80 mph.
My query to Northamptonshire and Leicestershire police concerning this non-enforcement of speed limits has been completely ignored.
