Is anyone else as fed up as me about this?
My dad has a mobility scooter as he finds walking difficult at his age. His constant complaint is that he can't get along the pavements around Greenacres and adjacent roads because of the inconsiderate (and illegal) parking on pavements.

How on earth are parents (and others) supposed to negotiate their way along when the pavements are not clear?

To the casual reader of the Highway Code it is obvious that parking on pavements, especially on bends (as on Greenacres) is against the law

217: DO NOT park your vehicle or trailer on the road where it would endanger, inconvenience or obstruct pedestrians or other road users. For example, do not stop
• on a bend.

218: DO NOT park partially or wholly on the pavement unless signs permit it. Parking on the pavement can obstruct and seriously inconvenience pedestrians, people in wheelchairs, the visually impaired and people with prams or pushchairs.

Where are the (expensive) police and community wardens in the face of this flagrant abuse of the law?
