We meet once a month for talks, tastings, visits to vineyards and general social events.

A great night was had by all at the Spanish Tapas and Wine evening on 21st April hosted by Norma & Graham.
Amongst the food delights prepared by members to accompany the selection of Spanish wines were
 
Paella cooked in the traditional Spanish style in a "paellera" - a round flat pan - which is then put on the table. It is normally made using shellfish but like this one can also be made with chicken and pork.
Ensaladilla rusa (Spanish Potato Salad)
Spanish Omelette
Meatballs in tomato sauce
Garlic-marinated Black olives
Marinated mushrooms

Grateful for the dry interlude between the showers of the week we wandered around the quiet lanes of Husbands Bosworth puzzling over the cryptic clues and testing our spelling skills against the teasing anagrams provided once again by Julie. Bamboozled by her poetic hints to guide our path, we trailed each other around the narrow roads and byways of the village, carefully averting our gaze from the clues we had cracked, lest others should see. At last we complete the course and find ourselves as if by magic at the Bell Inn where we could relax in the warmth of the room and enjoy a feisty meal before discovering the errors of our ways when the solutions are revealed. And the winners? Janet and Malcolm.
